Connecting Somerset is a major initiative, run in association with Business Link, to help businesses and communities make more effective use of broadband and ICT.
Connecting Somerset is a partnership programme, led by Somerset County Council with input from public and private sector partners. It is funded by the European Social Fund, South West Regional Development Agency and Somerset's local authorities and public sector groups. This funding allowed Connecting Somerset to provide ICT and website grants for Somerset businesses in 2005/2006, and then again in 2007/2008. This has enabled many businesses to advance their ICT and web usage at a vastly reduced cost.
How are TurnKey I.T Solutions involved?
TurnKey I.T Solutions have been an approved supplier on Business Link's register since September 2007. Grants can only be obtained for work completed by companies on this register, so TurnKey I.T Solutions, are able to help many potential clients obtain grant funding for their websites.
